In the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Yashasvi Jaiswal scripted a personal milestone as he went past Suryakumar Yadav to become the leading run-getter of the season and don the orange cap.
Notably, at the time of writing this article, Jaiswal is unbeaten on 44 (17), while chasing a mammoth total of 220 runs and it has taken his runs-tally to 517 runs this season in 13 matches, seven more than SKY, who held the cap with 510 runs in 12 matches. Jaiswal has made a surprise entry to the list as he had a slow start to the season.
It is worth noting that till the first three matches, Yashasvi Jaiswal only managed to score 34 runs. However, he bounced back and till the PBKS match, he has six fifty-plus scores in the season. He returned to the pavilion shortly after completing his fifty and amassed 50 (25), which featured nine fours and a solitary six.
