India A and South Africa A locked horns in Rajkot for the third and final unofficial ODI of the series, after the hosts had already sealed the series ahead of the fixture.

Courtesy of dominant displays in both departments, the visitors managed to end the series 2-1. Here's how the match panned out.

Protea openers slam centuries each

The LHB-RHB duo of Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Rivaldo Moonsamy put up a mammoth partnership of 241 runs, scoring a century each to put their team in front early in the match.

After missing out on the Test squad, Pretorius scored 123 off 98 with the help of 9 fours and six sixes, while Moonsamy played the second fiddle with his 107 off 130, scoring 13 fours and two sixes.

Prasidh and Harshit stage an Indian fightback

Starting with a dual-wicket 38th over from Prasidh Krishna to get rid of both the openers, the fast bowling duo of Prasidh and Harshit Rana pulled strings to restrict the visitors to 325/6.

Backing up Prasidh, Rana dismiss wicketkeeper Sinethemba Qeshile cheaply 1(7) in the next over, followed by Rubin Hermann's wicket at 11(19).

The expensive Khaleel Ahmed also chipped in with two wickets, scalping captain Marques Ackerman and Dian Forrester late in the innings. He finished with 2/82, while Prasidh and Rana bowled economical spells of 2/52 and 2/47, respectively.

Ishan and Badoni's rescue effort in vain

Tshepo Moreki and Bjorn Foruin inflicted an early collapse of the Indian top-4, reducing them to 82/4, before Ishan Kishan and Ayush Badoni combined for a 88-run stand for the fifth wicket.

The duo scored fifties each, to try and fightback; however, failing to take the team past the finish line. Both were dismissed by Nqabayomzi Peter, for 53 (67) and 66(66), respectively.

Peter was the pick of the bowlers with his 4/48(10). Moreki took 3 and Fortuin picked 2, as Proteas avoided a 3-0 whitewash with a 74 run win.
