The Ranji Trophy 2025-26 is in full swing, with youngsters as well as veterans like Karun Nair playing statement knocks. While it is a cricket format that irons out the grit in players, there are some cricketers who go the rough way with the bat and the ball.

As always, Ranji is one of the scouting grounds of talents for IPL franchises, which saw players like Andre Siddharth and Shardul Thakur get handpicked by franchises for the mega tournament.

With many players giving outstanding performances with the bat and the ball, here are the top three players who can raise a storm on the IPL 2026 auction table.

1) Abhinav Tejrana

24-year-old Abhinav Tejrana is a budding Ranji Trophy star who is the current highest scorer in the tournament with 651 runs from 8 innings. The Goa cricketer made his Ranji debut this year in October and since then has been in top form with his explosive yet gritty knocks.

Tejrana scored three centuries already, with a double century in his first match against Chandigarh. The top-order batter shows promise and can be a good choice as he already boasts an average of 93 in Ranji.

Teams like KKR, CSK and DC might jump to grab him if the youngster gets registered for the IPL 2026 auction.

2) Saransh Jain

Saransh Jain can be a valuable all-rounder pick for teams if he registers for the IPL 2026 auction. The off-spinner also possesses batting skills, though they might not be in the most explosive way.

Jain has centuries at positions 7, 8 and 9 for his state team Madhya Pradesh and has been a leading wicket taker in domestic cricket as spinner. He has got flighted deliveries, quick turns and deceptive spins under his sleeve, which rats out the middle order easily.

As things are looking from here, he might be the best replacement for CSK in place of Ravichandran Ashwin. Needless to say, other franchises like PBKS and GT would also like to bag the 32-year-old who also plays for Central Zone.

3) Kartik Sharma

19-year-old Rajasthan-born Kartik Sharma has been with the Chennai Super Kings camp quite a few times now but hasn't registered for the IPL auction yet. If he registers, he is going to be a hot pick among franchises. Kartik is a wicketkeeper-batter for his state team and is an aggressive attacker.

Kartik Sharma registered 16 sixes from just 6 innings in the Ranji Trophy and also recently scored a ton against Mumbai in the ongoing Ranji Trophy.

Teams like RCB, KKR, and even CSK wouldn't like to let go of the player, especially after the latter let go of top-order players like Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway. With a batter who can bat across positions like 4, 5, and 6, Kartik will be a steal deal in the auction.
