NZ vs IND, 2nd ODI: Preview, Prediction and Cricket Exchange Fantasy Tips

On Sunday, hosts New Zealand will cross swords against India in the second ODI of the three-match series in Hamilton. The game holds paramount importance for India, as they must win it to stay alive in the series.

It didn't take long for New Zealand to bounce back from the T20I series defeat, as they demolished the visitors by seven wickets in the first ODI. Barring Adam Milne, the Kiwi bowlers fared well in Auckland, a venue that usually sees truckloads of runs being scored on its flat deck. Although Tim Southee was expensive towards the backend, he scalped three wickets to derail the Indian innings. On the batting front, Tom Latham and Kane Williamson stitched a partnership for ages, helping their team chase 307 without breaking a sweat.

On the other hand, India performed in patches and must work on the grey areas to strike back in the series. They went with only five specialist bowlers but batted with a timid approach that led to their sub-par total on a batters' paradise. Although they got early breakthroughs, their spinners let India down, recording abysmal collective figures of none for 109 in 20 overs. So, moving on to this game, the visitors would like aggression from their batters and spinners.

Match Details

Venue: Seddon Park, Hamilton
Date and Time: November 27, 7.00 AM IST
Live Streaming: Amazon Prime and DD Sports

Pitch Report: The average scoring rate at the Seddon Park in Hamilton is 5.32, suggesting the track's conduciveness for both batting and bowling. The new-ball bowlers will get ample swing in the air and a little movement off the deck early on. But the conditions will favour the batters with the game's progression. As almost 60 per cent of matches have been won by chasing, the toss-winner will likely opt to field first.

Predicted XIs

New Zealand will likely continue with the same XI, while India might make at most two changes, replacing Shardul Thakur and Yuzvendra Chahal with Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Yadav, respectively. Although Suryakumar Yadav managed only four runs, the management will probably give him another go, not replacing him with Deepak Hooda.

New Zealand's predicted XI: Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Kane Williamson (C), Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham (WK), Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson

India's predicted XI: Shikhar Dhawan (C), Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (WK), Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Yadav, Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh
