It was a hard fought knock by New Zealand's Tom Latham who crashed at India's party to seal his side a victory by seven wickets. While chasing 307, the Kiwi kept his side in the chase along with skipper Williamson.

Latham reached his seventh ODI ton in 76 deliveries, however, he continued his impressive show staying unbeaten on 145 and finishing the match for the BlackCaps.

Latham's knock consisted of five sixes and nineteen fours which he attained while batting a strike rate of 139. In 40th over of the chase, the left-hander thumped Shardul Thakur for 23 runs which included four consecutive boundaries, changed the momentum of the game.

India and New Zealand are set to face off again in the second ODI at Hamilton on 27th November.
