India Women bagged a dominant win over Pakistan Women on October 5 during the group stage clash of the Women's World Cup, and Deepti Sharma was one of the orchestrators behind the Women in Blue's win. Deepti's contributions also led her to win the Impact Player of the Match award, pipping Kranti Goud, who derailed Pakistan with three crucial strikes.

After the match, in the Indian dressing room, the women cricketers gathered to do the customary post-match ceremony of presenting the Impact Player of the Match medal to the deserving player. India's fielding coach nominated three names.
Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Deepti Sharma were nominated for the award, where Harman and Smriti showed extra efforts with their extraordinary catches and Kaur's run-out throw in the match. However, Richa Ghosh presented the medal to Deepti Sharma, who took a stunning slip catch and a low-diving catch and was also praised for her game awareness.
Deepti's all-round show helps India seal win
However, Deepti was not only impressed with her fielding but also with her batting and bowling. With the bat, Deepti piled up 25 runs off 33 balls, while with the ball, she bagged 3 wickets. She gave away 45 runs from her 9 overs to maintain a decent economy rate and emerged as one of the finest players in the game.
The player of the match, however, was awarded to Kranti Goud, the pace sensation who bagged 3 wickets for just 20 runs from her 10-over bowling quota. Nevertheless, the match saw India win, and with this victory, India climbed to the top of the table and will aim to extend their unbeaten streak against South Africa on Thursday.
