India and Pakistan are all set to clash in the finale of the Asia Cup 2025. India have won the toss and have decided to bowl first, but there was a bizarre moment that has now taken the fight between the two countries to a new level.

Normally, there is only one presenter along with the match referee and captains during the toss. However, for the final, Waqar Younis also walked out with Ravi Shastri as both captains decided to talk only to their countrymen and avoid those from the enemy nation.

It is quite a rare event in cricket and one hardly sees people avoiding a presenter from another country during the toss or match. Thus, the cold war between the two teams that has been going on since their first match of this Asia Cup has continued in the final.

Timeline of Cold War between India and Pakistan in Asia Cup

It all started with no handshake between the captains during the toss of the group stage match of the Asia Cup 2025. Indian players then refused to shake hands after the match, and it created a big controversy with PCB complaining to ICC. The Indian captain also referred to the Pahalgam terror attack after the win, while Pakistan players came up with a controversial gesture when the two teams went head-to-head in the Super 4 match.

India complained about those gestures, and both Haris Rauf along with Suryakumar Yadav were warned and fined after the match. Now, in the final match, they have taken the cold war to a new level by not talking to their opposite country's presenter, and it would be interesting to see how things pan out during the big finale.
