Sylhet Titans scythed through Rangpur Riders in match 23 to storm into the top two of the BPL 2025-26 points table. Nasum Ahmed and Shohidul Islam went into a wicket-taking spree for the Titans before blistering opener Parvez Hossain Emon anchored the run-chase with a chanceless half-century.

Here, we take a look at the entire highlights from the 23rd match of the BPL 2025-26 season between Sylhet Titans and Rangpur Riders, as it panned out at the Sylhet International Stadium in Sylhet on Monday, January 12.

Nasum Ahmed, Shohidul wreck Rangpur Riders

Batting first, Rangpur Riders lost both openers Towhid Hridoy and Kyle Mayers within the first three overs for just six on the board. Litton Das struck four boundaries in his enterprising 12-ball 22, but the senior number three failed to lead Riders’ recovery. Iftikhar Ahmed (17 off 20), Khushdil Shah (30 off 24) and Mahmudullah (29 off 23) conjured crucial runs in the middle order, however, a late collapse ensured the Rangpur Riders folded up for just 114 in 19.1 overs.

For the Sylhet Titans, left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed decimated the Riders with figures of 3-19, including the opening scalp of Mayers. Shohidul Islam (3-36) also picked up three in his four overs, while Moeen Ali (2-8) struck twice in his economical four-over spell.

Parvez Hossain Emon anchors Sylhet Titans to convincing win

Opening batters Tawfique Khan (33 off 22) and Parvez Hossain Emon raced to a 54-run stand at the top in less than seven overs until the former got bested by Sufiyan Muqeem (1-11). Nayeem Hasan trapped number three Ariful Islam in front, while Nahid Rana landed late punches with the quick wickets of Afif Hossain and Ethan Brookes at the brink of the finishing line.

Despite losing partners at quick intervals, opener Parvez Hossain kept his composure and notched up the winning runs for Sylhet Titans with six wickets and 15 balls to spare. Emon himself compiled 52* off 41 balls with three fours and three sixes in the process as the Titans surged to number two on the BPL 2025-26 points table.
