Musheer Khan once again failed to go big in Mumbai T20 2025 season, this time falling for a sluggish four from seven balls against Eagle Thane Strikers at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Opening the innings for Arcs Andheri alongside Akhil Herwadkar, Musheer got caught out by Aryan Chauhan off Ankur Singh in just the second over of the match.

Even after piling up a truckload of runs in domestic first-class cricket, the 20-year-old batting prodigy continues to struggle in replicating the same impact in T20s, raising questions over his adaptability in the shortest format of the game.

Hyped Young Gun Musheer Khan Registers Another Failure

After failing to make an impact in his lone appearance for Punjab Kings in the recently-concluded IPL 2025 season, Musheer Khan’s torrid run in the Mumbai T20 2025 campaign for Arcs Andheri continues to haunt both him and his team.

In match 18 of Mumbai T20 2025 against Eagle Thane Strikers in Mumbai, the cricketer fell for just four from seven balls off Ankur Singh to register his fifth straight failure this tournament.

So far this season, Musheer Khan has aggregated just 66 runs from five innings at a dismal average of 16.50. Following his dismissal, Musheer’s opening partner Akhil Herwadkar conjured a fighting partnership with captain Prasad Pawar for the second wicket to steer Arcs Andheri to safety.

Musheer Khan’s First-Class Credentials Amid T20 Horror

Regardless of his repeated T20 setbacks, Musheer Khan continues to command respect for his formidable first-class credentials, which reflects a temperament and technique far more suited to the longer format.

In nine first-class matches, Musheer has tallied 716 runs at an astonishing average of 51.14, plundering three tons and a half-century in the process.
