The Karun Nair-led Mysore Warriors had a horrible start to their 2023 season as they faced a heavy defeat in their first outing against the Hubli Tigers. As a result, they are currently placed at the bottom of the table in the league standings after every team played at least one game in the tournament.
The batting order had a complete off day and played a big part in their defeat against the Tigers, while the bowlers could not do much with such a below-par total on the board. Captain Nair will be hoping his batters have a better day in the office and help the team to bounce back from the first game adversity.
The Mysuru-based franchise was stopped one step before the final last year. They will be hoping to get their first win as soon as possible and build their momentum to go one step further this time.
Mangaluru Dragons
On the other hand, Mangaluru Dragons have also started their campaign with a defeat but in a relatively reasonable manner, falling just nine runs short of the Shivamogga Lions’ total. They are currently placed in fourth position in the points table.
Captain Krishnappa Gowtham must be disappointed and will be hoping his side does not let go of such games where they could have finished with the win. Krishnamurthy Siddharth and Aniruddha Joshi made runs with the bat, while Naveen GM was the star with the ball as he scaled four wickets for 19 runs in his four overs.
