Mangaluru Dragons continue to perform below their potential as they have failed to maintain the consistency in their outcomes. They have managed to win three out of the six games they have played but never looked like a team who had a dominating run.

However, after falling short against Gulbarga Mystics on Sunday, Krishnappa Gowtham and his men got back to winning form in their last game against the Bengaluru Blasters. They are well and truly alive in the knockout race but in order to get their name in the top four, the Dragons cannot afford to lose a game or two at this stage of the tournament.

Captain Gowtham will be hoping his side to finally win two games in a row in this tournament. The Dragons have always failed to sustain their winning momentum in this tournament so far but this time they will be keen to do so in order to stay alive to qualify for the Semi-finals.

On the other hand, Mysore Warriors turned the tables around having a poor start to the tournament. The Warriors lost each of their first two games and then went on to win four games consecutively, including one against the unbeaten Hubli Tigers.

However their unbeaten streak came to an end in their last outing against the Shivamogga Lions who are now placed just below the Warriors with the same number of points. The Warriors are currently positioned second in the points table with eight points in their bag.

Captain Karun Nair has been a run machine in this tournament and he will continue to be the player to watch out for the Warriors. With the tournament moving towards the business end of its league stage, Nair and his Warriors will be hoping to get back to their winning ways and sustain their second place in the league standing.

Match Details

Pitch Report: The pitch at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is expected to be a good one for the batters. There will be some initial assistance for the seam bowlers with spinners taking control in the middle overs but as usual batters are expected to dominate the major part of the game. The team winning toss should bowl first as batting with a target in mind should be an easier task on this surface. The first innings total is expected to be around 170.
