After the two enthralling T20I contests, the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand will be up against each other in the third and final T20I of the three match series on Sunday, August 20 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. This has been a historic series for UAE and now they have the opportunity to win their first ever international series against New Zealand.

After falling short with the bat in the first T20I, the United Arab Emirates bounced back hard to win the second T20I against New Zealand and level the three-match series.

It was a complete dominance from the hosts in the second T20I as Muhammad Waseem and his men outplayed the visitors in almost every department. After electing to bowl first, UAE restricted New Zealand to a paltry 142-run total.

Aayan Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he finished with a figure of 3 for 20. While chasing, skipper Muhammad Waseem got his team to a flying start with a 29-ball 55, followed by an unbeaten 48 from Asif Khan which took UAE across the line with more than 4 overs remaining.

Now, ahead of the series decider, captain Waseem will be hoping his side continue the winning momentum and wrap their first ever series win against New Zealand.

On the other hand, New Zealand must be disappointed with the way they have played in this series so far. Even though they won the first T20I, the kiwis were far away from being clinical. The below average batting performance from the Blackcaps has been the major reason behind their current position in the series. 

Tim Southee and his men will be now looking to stop an in-form UAE from winning their first ever series against New Zealand. Captain Southee will be hoping his side to be at their best for the series decider and get themselves across the line to seal the three-match series.

Pitch Report: The surface at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has shown contrasting behaviors in the two games played so far.
