Tonight, hosts Lucknow Super Giants will cross swords against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 43rd group-stage game of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. As both teams comprise some T20 superstars, we expect a nail-biting contest at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow.

The last game between the two teams witnessed a high-scoring cliffhanger in Bengaluru, with LSG securing a memorable one-wicket win in the final delivery. Batting first, RCB posted a mammoth total of 212 runs, which the Super Giants chased successfully, riding on exceptional half-centuries from Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran.

As the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana stadium gears up to host the high-voltage clash, let's see how the pitch is supposed to behave in this game.

Ekana Stadium: Pitch Report

The surface at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow has generally been two-paced, being tricky for batters to express themselves freely. There will be some spongy bounce at times, and the spinners will get decent help throughout the game.

The track will be slower than the belters in M. Chinnaswamy and Wankhede, which is why the batters must take some time to get their eyes in and then launch the attack on the opposition.

Although the pitch will be slightly two-paced, it will remain as such throughout the day. So, the toss-winning side might prefer to bowl first.
