Today, Chennai Super Kings had a forgettable day on the field, as they were handed a gut-wrenching four-wicket defeat by Punjab Kings in a last-ball cliffhanger. Batting first, CSK posted a massive total of 201 runs, which PBKS chased in the final delivery, courtesy of a priceless 13*-run cameo from Sikandar Raza.
Ace CSK pacer Tushar Deshpande had a mixed day on the field, scalping three wickets and conceding 49 runs in his four-over spell. But as he recorded three victims to his names, Deshpande eclipsed Arshdeep Singh to get the decorated purple cap.

After Deepak Chahar got injured, Deshpande emerged as CSK's go-to bowler across phases, providing them with crucial breakthroughs in regular intervals.
Speaking of CSK, the MS Dhoni-led side is placed fourth in the IPL 2023 points table and will take on Lucknow Super Giants in the 46th match of the tournament on May 3.
