Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star pacer Khaleel Ahmed was in top form in the 67th match of the IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 25, Sunday afternoon. He took the crucial wicket of Gujarat Titans’ hard-hitting batter Jos Buttler, which helped him set a new record. With that wicket, Khaleel went past Mohammed Siraj to become the bowler with the most wickets in the powerplay (the first six overs) this season.
Before this match, Mohammed Siraj held the top spot with 9 wickets. But Khaleel removed Buttler in the 4th over, getting him out for just 5 runs off 7 balls and reached 10 powerplay wickets, taking over the lead.
