Kevin Pietersen smases his first half-century of LLC Season 2
The legends of the cricketing world are in action in the ongoing Legends League Cricket Season 2. In the 5th match of the tournament, Gautam Gambhir led India Capitals, Suresh Raina led Urbanrisers Hyderabad locked horns, and a truckload of runs were scored.
Suresh Raina's team, with the likes of Martin Guptill, Dwayne Smith and Gurkeerat Singh Mann, batted first and posted a huge total of 189. Gurkeerat and the captain Raina played vital knocks of 89 and 46 respectively. On the other hand, Kevin Pietersen played a blistering knock of 77 but could not help his team seal the victory as the India Capitals fell three runs short.
The right-handed English cricketer, Kevin Pietersen never fails to impress the audience and was exceptional in today's game as well. After the failure of the top order, which consisted of the likes of Gautam Gambhir and Hashim Amla, Pietersen stood tall and smashed the bowlers of Hyderabad all over the park.
Watch how Kevin Pietersen is making batting look so easy:
The fans are all familiar with Kevin Pietersen's skill-set of Golf and today was the day when he displayed his long-ball hitting. With six maximums and four boundaries, he went on to score 77 runs. All the sixes he hammered went too far away from the boundary and the fans witnessed some of the best air-hitting from the tall man.
The efforts of Pietersen went in vain as the India Capitals lost their second match of the tournament. Even Ashley Nurse tried his best to take the team over the line and played an impressive knock of 41 off just 25 deliveries.
