In a thrilling TNPL 2024 encounter on July 6 at SCF Cricket Ground, Salem, K Easwaran of Trichy Grand Cholas emerged as the star performer, delivering a remarkable six-wicket haul, including a hat-trick, against Dindigul Dragons.

Trichy won the toss and elected to bowl, a decision that paid off as they restricted the Dragons to 160/8 in 20 overs.

Opener Shivam Singh was the standout batter for the Dindigul Dragons, scoring 78 runs off 51 balls, including six fours and five sixes. Despite Shivam's fireworks, it was K Easwaran's exceptional bowling that stole the show.

Easwaran, who recently celebrated his birthday on June 29, made history by recording the first six-fer in TNPL history. His incredible spell of 6/32 dismantled the Dragons' batting lineup.

The highlight of his performance was the hat-trick, with wickets of S Dinesh Raj, C Sarath Kumar, and Shivam Singh. He achieved the first two wickets on the last two balls of the 17th over and completed the hat-trick with the first ball of the 19th over.

In addition to his hat-trick, Easwaran dismissed Dragons skipper and veteran Indian bowler Ravi Ashwin, Vimal Khumar, and Kishoor. His fiery bowling display ensured that Dindigul Dragons could only set a target of 161 runs.

K Easwaran's sensational performance not only helped Trichy Grand Cholas dominate the match but also etched his name in TNPL history. Cricket fans were left in awe as Easwaran's spell led Trichy to a memorable victory in the second match of the eighth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League.
