At the toss before the clash between Bangalore and Rajasthan, Virat Kohli was yet again seen wearing the captain's hat, as RCB's regular Faf du Plessis is still recovering from his rib injury and will not be captaining his side on Sunday. Meanwhile, the home team have chosen to sit out their death-bowling specialist Harshal Patel and South African recruit Wayne Parnell. In contrast, Rajasthan have gone against giving Riyan Parag a longer rope after frail outings in IPL 2023.
Bangalore have gone with bringing in David Willey and Vijaykumar Vyshak into their Starting XI. Du Plessis will also be a part of the starting party, but he will be substituted by someone after his batting.
For Sunday's clash, the home team has opted for Anuj Rawat, Finn Allen, Akash Deep, Karn Sharma, and Harshal Patel as their Impact Player subs.
On the flip side, the Royals haven't done apart from dropping Riyan Parag, even from their Impact Player subs. In place of the Assam all-rounder, they have brought in a like-to-like replacement in Kerala's Abdul Basith. Apart from that, their Impact Players are - Donovan Ferreira, Akash Vasisht, Murugan Ashwin and KM Asif.
