The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer, Josh Hazlewood continues to dominate the bowling charts as he once again showcased his bowling skills in the match against Delhi Capitals and dismissed Abhisek Porel to etch his name in the wicket-takers list.

Hazlewood goes past GT pacer in Purple Cap list

He was tied with Gujarat Titans pacer, Prasidh Krishna as the leading wicket-takers of the IPL 2025 season (17 wickets each). However, with the wicket of DC opener, Hazlewood surpassed Krishna and became the new Purple Cap holder.

The RCB speedster has 17 wickets in 10 matches, at an average of 16.47 and an economy of 8.28. He has been instrumental in his team's success in the ongoing IPL as RCB have a great chance to go top of the table if they beat DC in the ongoing match.

Hazlewood and Krishna dominate the charts, with CSK spinner, Noor Ahmad at third spot with 14 wickets. The list also has a new entrant in Trent Boult with 13 wickets and Harshal Patel, the SRH pacer also with 13 wickets in the list.

Hazlewood still has a great chance to extend his lead in the table in the ongoing match against the Capitals. He is also the first bowler in IPL 2025 to bowl 100 dot balls.

DC, RCB battling for top spot

Both DC and RCB are in top 4 of the points table and whosoever wins the contest will become the new table toppers in the league. RCB have won 5 away games in a row and this could be their sixth on a trot if they go onto beat DC.
