Jemimah Rodrigues is in the form of her life and the Indian batter was at her imperial best in the second ODI Vs Ireland. She played a sizzling knock and slammed her maiden ODI century as India dominate the Irish side at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot.
She came into bat when the openers had set a solid platform for the middle-order batters. Smriti Mandhana led the charge and it was time for Jemimah to continue the good work as she, alongside Harleen Deol stitched a partnership exceeding the 150-run mark to push the Ireland team on the back-foot.
This was her maiden ODI century in ODIs and in the process, the Indian star crossed the 1,000 runs in the 50-over format. This was one of the finest ODI hundreds by a Women's cricketer as Jemimah Rodrigues looked in ominous touch and reached her hundred in just 90 deliveries.
Just after reaching the triple-figure mark, the Indian batter was dismissed for 102 as she tried to finish it off in style.
India reach mammoth 370
India slammed a mammoth 370 runs as the team decimated the Irish attack with utmost ease. The onslaught was started by Mandhana, who scored a quick-fire 73 off 54 deliveries. Her opening partner, Pratika Rawal scored 67 as the openers did a fine job.
Harleen Deol continued her magic touch with the bat and missed out on a deserving century as the batter was dismissed for 89 as the hosts have put up a strong total on the board.
