Jasprit Bumrah is one of the finest bowlers in world cricket currently. He knows exactly what to do in a particular situation and on a particular pitch and on the final day of the first Test match between India and New Zealand, he has again delivered for his side. He got the wicket on the second ball of Day 5 and then as the partnership was building between Devon Conway and Will Young, Bumrah produced a beauty to get rid of the former.

Conway soaked in the pressure beautifully after the early breakthrough and was threatening to take the game away from India. Rohit Sharma though kept his premier bowler on and the patience was rewarded in his seventh over of the spell. Throughout the spell, Bumrah angled  most of the deliveries into Conway and the batter tackled it well as the pacer bowled it from over the wicket.

However, after Conway got comfortable with the incoming delivery, Bumrah decided to surprise the batter. He came 'round the wicket and first angled some deliveries into the Southpaw. Conway did not look in much trouble with the incoming delivery and so Jasprit Bumrah very cleverly in the 13th over of the innings made him more comfortable by bowling a full delivery on middle and it was tucked away for a boundary.

Then on the next delivery, the pacer cleverly pulled his length back a bit. Bowled it on a good-length and the ball straighten after pitching. It outfoxed Conway as he played inside the line of the ball, anticipating that the ball will come into him. The ball beat the outside edge of his blade and hit him on the back pad and it was dead plumb, giving India the much-needed second wicket.

The wicket was again a classic example of Bumrah's genius and he has truly evolved as a world-class all-format bowler over the years.
