Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on each other on Sunday (May 5) in Match 54 of IPL 2024 at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. Considering the playoffs are not too far away, this should be a cracker of a contest between two nicely-poised sides who are placed in the top-half of the points table.

With seven wins and three defeats, KKR are placed second on the 10-team chart. LSG, on the other hand, are just behind them, having won 6 out of their 10 attempts.

Hence, it is very unlikely Quinton de Kock would be back in action against KKR, even though he has a great record against this particular franchise.

In another significant development, LSG's speedster Mayank Yadav walked off the field and is likely to be ruled out of the rest of the season. In his absence, Yash Thakur, who took a five-wicket haul earlier this season, could be back in action.
