Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday (May 5) in Match 54 of IPL 2024 at Ekana Cricket Stadium. This will be a battle between two evenly-poised sides, who will be placed second and third positions on the points table respectively.
Kolkata have not too many areas to worry about, although Angkrish Raghuvanshi is not among the run-scorers lately. Hence, the Purple and Gold Brigade might be tempted to drop him, as it will allow them to bring Nitish Rana in yet again.
Among the others, Harshit Rana should return to the mix. In their previous fixture against Mumbai Indians, KKR did not use any single bowler as an impact substitute after a batting collapse at Wankhede Stadium. Manish Pandey came and made headlines, although he is likely to be sidelined in the forthcoming fixture to make way for Harshit.
The others, unless there is any injury concerns, are unlikely to get dropped or benched. Thankfully for KKR fans, Mitchell Starc is back at his very best as well, making it a commendable force just before the playoffs begins.
