Youngster Nehal Wadhera also joined the party to hit 52* off 34 as MI reached the target with 21 balls to spare. For his breathtaking innings, Suryakumar grabbed the Player of the Match award.


GT in IPL 2023

Defending champions, GT, have indeed played like champions so far this season, as they have appeared in 11 games with eight wins and just three losses. With 16 points and a positive NRR of 0.951, they are bossing the table at the top.

GT Last Match in IPL 2023

GT played their last match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match No. 51 at home, and they won the contest by a margin of 56 runs.

Krunal Pandya won the toss, and the visitors elected to field first. Openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill added 142 runs for the opening wicket. The former smashed 81 off 43 while Gill remained not out on 94 off 51 as GT posted a massive total of 227/2 on the board.

In reply, Kyle Mayers slammed 48 off 32, and his opening partner Quinton de Kock, who played his first game of the season, racked up 70 off 41. There was no significant contribution from the rest of the batting line-up, as LSG reached only 171/7. Pacer Mohit Sharma was the pick of the GT bowlers for his spell of 4/29 (4). Gill was adjudged with the Player of the Match award for his magnificent knock at the top of the order.
