PBKS played their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match No. 53 in Kolkata, where they got beaten by a margin of 5 wickets.

Captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and opted to bat first. He scored 57 while Jitesh Sharma and Shahrukh Khan amassed 21 each as the visitors posted a competitive total of 179/7 on the board in their allotted 20 overs. Spinner Varun Chakaravarthy delivered a solid spell of 3/26 (4).

In reply, skipper Nitish Rana racked up 51 off 38, but it was hard-hitter Andre Russell and Rinku Singh who won the game for the Knight Riders. The Jamaican smashed 42 off just 23 while Rinku remained not out on 21 off ten as the home side reached the target on the final delivery of the match. Russell grabbed the Player of the Match award for his quick fire knock.
