After witnessing a washout in the group stage, arch-rivals India and Pakistan will be up against each other for the second time in the Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday. The intriguing Super 4 battle will be hosted by the iconic R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Pakistan have showcased scintillating form in the tournament, occupying the top spot in the Super 4 points table. They crushed Nepal in the tournament opener before putting up an impressive bowling performance against India in Pallekele. Following the abandoned fixture, the Men in Green were absolutely ruthless against Bangladesh, as they thrashed them by seven wickets in the first Super 4 game in Lahore.

On the other hand, India are high on confidence after defeating a spirited Nepal team by ten wickets in their final group-stage game. So, considering the recent form of both teams, we anticipate another high-voltage clash to grace the Asia Cup on Super Sunday.

However, unfortunately, the weather in Colombo could play spoilsport in the game, with rain looming large over the much-anticipated encounter. So, as both teams gear up for a fascinating battle, let's see what the venue's weather forecast says for the next two days.

Colombo Weather Report For September 10 & 11

To the delight of cricket fans from India and Pakistan, the Asian Cricket Council has kept September 11 as a reserve day for this high-octane face-off. So, if rain interrupts the proceedings on Sunday, the game will resume from where it paused on Monday. However, Colombo's weather forecast for both these days doesn't look great, as evident from the data given below.

Thunderstorms are predicted to strike the city on both days, with the chances of precipitation reading as high as 93 per cent. So, it's very unlikely that we will get a full-fledged 50-over per side game even if the show goes to the reserve day.

If the match is called off, both teams will get a point each, with Pakistan remaining at the top position in the Super 4 standings.
