After witnessing an abandoned fixture against Pakistan in Pallekele, Team India was back to business in their second Asia Cup game, crushing Nepal by ten wickets. The thumping victory not only earned India a place in the Super 4 but also boosted the confidence of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, who endured failures against the arch-rivals.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Men in Blue arrived at the iconic R. Premadasa stadium in Colombo for their first practice session ahead of the high-octane face-off against Pakistan. However, as rain prevented them from stepping into the field, the Indian players had an intense batting and bowling session in the indoor nets.

However, surprisingly, their two best batters, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, skipped the net session, raising a few eyebrows.

As per OneCricket's correspondent, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav sweated it out, Kohli and Sharma couldn't be spotted in the indoor nets.

Rohit and Kohli had ordinary outings against Pakistan, being dismissed cheaply by ace speedster Shaheen Afridi. However, despite the top-order collapse, India posted a competitive 266-run total, courtesy of flamboyant half-centuries from Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya. Both teams will collide once again in the ninth match of the tournament on September 10.
