The much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan will be played on Sunday, September 14. The match will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium at 8:00 PM IST.

India

Team India is coming off a 9-wicket victory against the UAE after thrashing the latter to a lowly total of 57 runs. Abhishek Sharma (30 runs), Kuldeep Yadav (4 wickets) and Shivam Dube (3 wickets) stepped up to the occasion. Additionally, the men in blue have a quality spin attack, which can expose Pakistan’s weakness in UAE conditions.

Pakistan

On the other hand, Pakistan won their first Asia Cup 2025 game against Oman comfortably by 93 runs. Mohammad Haris stood out among star players like Saim Ayub and Salman Agha, who registered ducks. Shaheen Afridi managed to pick just a single wicket, while spinners produced more success. However, given their abysmal record against India, Pakistan is expected to have a tough outing.

IND vs PAK Head-To-Head Overview

India and Pakistan have competed in 13 T20Is, out of which 9 times, the men in blue secured victory. Pakistan settled for just 3 wins, as one contest was tied back in 2007.

Dubai International Stadium Pitch Report

Pitch-wise, the Dubai International Stadium will host a fresh surface. Early overs should favour the pacers, but as the match progresses, batting will get easier, especially under lights.

Spinners might get turn late in the innings, but only if batsmen make mistakes. The weather will be intensely hot and humid. Skies will remain clear with zero chance of rain, though wind gusts around 30-33 km/h may make bowling a little tricky.
