Imam-ul-Haq has been in good form in Champions Cup 2024 with three consecutive fifties coming into Eliminator 1, and it was expected that he would deliver for his team in the knockout game as well. However, the batter could not make much of an impact and departed in the 10th over on the score of 23 off 32 balls to leave his team reeling at 43-3.

The Eliminator 1 of the Champions One-Day cup is being played between Stallions and Lions. Both teams are missing some star players which includes Babar Azam with PCB deciding to withdraw players selected for the first Test against England. Lions skipper Imam-ul-Haq won the toss and decided to bat first, but Ubaid Shah displayed his class and got the better of Rohail Nazir on the second delivery of the third over. He then got rid of Omair Yousuf in the same over, and Lions were reduced to 12-2.

Imam-ul-Haq then try to steady the ship along with Mohammad Taha, but Ubaid Shah once again managed to find a breakthrough, and got the big wicket of Lions' skipper. It was a length delivery on off and the ball stuck on the surface a bit after pitching. Imam was early in his defence and the ball lopped up in the air off his blade to the left and ahead of the bowler. It was a tough catch for Ubaid to take on his follow-through, but he was upto the task and grabbed a stunning diving catch to shock Imam-ul-Haq and company.

At the time of writing, Sharoon Siraj and Mohammad Taha are in the middle, and both of them would have to dig deep and take their team out of trouble after a poor start to this must-win clash. Stallions had earlier beaten Lions by 133 runs in the group-stage clash, but it is the game that matters, and the team that win this game would play Eliminator 2 against Markhors.
