In the Qualifier 2 contest of the ILT20 2025 season, Desert Vipers beat Sharjah Warriorz by 7 wickets to enter the final of the tournament. Sharjah struggled in the first inning and could muster only 162 runs on the board. In the chase, two critical partnerships between Alex Hales, Max Holden and Sam Curran and Daniel Lawrence powered the Vipers to a comfortable win.

Desert Vipers’ second innings kicked off on an underwhelming note as Rahmanullah Gurbaz failed for the second consecutive time to get dismissed on 1 off 4 balls by Adam Milne.
However, Alex Hales and Max Holden continued their sublime form with a 71-run partnership for the second wicket. Both batters maximised the powerplay before Hales got dismissed on 47 off 29 balls in the 9th over. Holden also followed his partner to get bowled by Milne on 48 off 34 balls.

Alex Hales and Max Holden did the job of setting the stage. Daniel Lawrence and Sam Curran added much needed finishing touch. Both added more than 50 runs for the fourth-wicket partnership. While Curran slammed 34 off just 15 balls, Lawrence added 28 off 18 balls to wrap up the chase in just 16.4 overs. With that dominant victory, the Desert Vipers have qualified for the finals of the ILT20 2025 season.
