Mohammad Amir is no longer an active international cricketer, but he is still young and delivering in T20 leagues around the world. The left-arm seamer is currently playing for Desert Vipers in ILT20 2025 and has done well with regular wickets and economical bowling. He picked 11 wickets in nine games and now has started off the Qualifier 2 with a bang, removing dangerous Johnson Charles in the powerplay.

It was the last ball of third over and Mohammed Amir very cleverly rolled his fingers over it. The ball was short of length and Johnson Charles who was looking to go everything that came his way went for it. He backed away and came up with a wild swing of the blade, he only managed to get an outside edge though and Azam Khan behind the stumps took an easy catch.

Mohammed Amir Gets His Revenge

The wicket reduced Sharjah Warriorz to 19 for two, and it is exactly the start that Deser Vipers needed. Amir was unlucky on the very first ball of the match as Tom Kohler-Cadmore was dropped at slips, on the third ball, Johnson Charles hit Amir for a six. It frustrated Mohammed Amir further and Charles also hit Amir for a four and a six before he departed on the last ball.

Naturally, Mohammad Amir was not happy and once he got the wicket, he brought out his frustration with a big roar and an animated celebration. Even Azam Khan was quite pumped up behind the stumps and it was quite a big wicket for Vipers.

The winner of this game will go up against Dubai Capitals in the final of the tournament on Sunday, 9th of February. Desert Vipers lost their last game while Sharjah Warrirorz have made it to the Qualifier 2 after beating MI Emirates in Eliminator.
