For the final showdown of the ILT20 2024 season, MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals will clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday from 8.00 PM IST onwards. After a hard-fought season, the two sides will compete to claim the ultimate maiden ILT20 title.

MI Emirates has simply been phenomenal this ILT20 2024 season. They finished the league stage as table toppers and absolutely crushed the defending champions in Qualifier 1. 

The Emirates set up a 163-run target after a collective effort from the entire batting lineup. However, it was the bowlers who saved the day for MI.

Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Akeal Hosein wreaked havoc and chipped in five wickets collectively to completely outclass the Giants' star-studded batting lineup.

The defending champions were bundled for 118 runs as MI Emirates clinched a direct entry into the finals.

That being said, ahead of the finals eve, Nicholas Pooran has returned to lead the side after finishing national duties. DJ Bravo's addition will also significantly boost the batting lineup. 

Overall, MI Emirates' squad is beautifully stacked, and the team would surely start as favourites on Saturday.

Dubai Capitals

Despite missing the services of David Warner and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Dubai Capitals' batting unit has managed to come alive. In Qualifier 2, the Capitals outclassed the Gulf Giants with a clinical and dominating 9-wicket victory.

Once the bowlers' collective effort restricted the Giants to a lowly total of 138 runs, du Plooy and Tom Banton unleashed carnage to chase down the total inside 16 overs. The lethal opening pair set up a 98-run partnership to shell the opposition completely.

Needless to say, the defending champions couldn't recover from the setback and were ousted out of the competition. 

That being said, the batting unit's screaming performance will fill the Capitals with sheer confidence ahead of the big finale. 

Of course, the team needs to put up a collective effort to outclass the mighty MI Emirates. But overall, Dubai Capitals have been an equal force to be reckoned with and won't count themselves out.
