The left-arm spinner from Punjab Kings (PBKS), Harpreet Brar spun a web around Delhi Capitals (DC) to help his side steal a victory by 31 runs on a turning track at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Brar bowled four overs in the game where he bagged figures of four for 30 and in the end, it proved enough for his side. Also. Prabhsimran Singh smashed a century to take the Mohali-based side to 167 and in reply, Delhi were halted on 136.

After the game, Harpreet revealed that he was under the pump after giving away free runs in his first over but his belief helped him make a solid comeback.

Further, he mentioned that their plan was simply to ensure that opposition batters play a shot on almost every delivery as Rahul Chahar and he focused on getting more dot balls.

"I enjoyed bowling on this surface. I leaked 13 runs in the first over, I was a bit nervous. I had belief that I could come back on this kind of a surface. In the first over, the ball was stopping a little and the batters were playing easily off the back foot. I tried to bowl it fuller in my spell and make the batter commit on the front foot. When you play on a slow wicket, the powerplay is crucial. DC had a good powerplay. But Rahul bowled well from the other end and he put pressure on the batters, that helped me to get the wickets. We both had in our mind to bowl as many dot balls as possible and create pressure on the batters."

Punjab, after this victory are sixth placed with 12 points and hence, will next be playing against Delhi Capitals only at Dharamsala on 17th May.
