Digvesh Rathi was one of the finds of IPL 2025 and was the best bowler on the show for Rishabh Pant's Lucknow Super Giants. It was his maiden outing in the IPL, but the spinner delivered under pressure for his side and picked 14 wickets at an impressive economy rate.

Digvesh Rathi Fails To Replicate IPL Magic In DPL

Thus, he was expected to dominate the Delhi Premier League 2025 when South Delhi Superstarz picked him. However, the mystery spinner has now gone wicketless in four consecutive games, and has also leaked his runs at an economy rate of 10. 

In his last match against New Delhi Tigers, Digvesh Rathi started on a bright note. He gave away just nine runs in his initial two overs, but ended up leaking 24 runs in his last two overs. This performance is a big surprise, and South Delhi Superstarz management would be disappointed with how their lead spinner has bowled so far.

His altercations on the field have continued, though, and his team would be hoping that he brings back his IPL bowling form too. Also, Digvesh Rathi not delivering to his standards has hurt South Delhi Superstarz, as they have won just one out of their initial five matches in DPL 2025.

Can Digvesh Rathi Make A Strong Comeback?

Digvesh Rathi, though, remains a quality bowler and would be itching to make a strong comeback in the upcoming matches. In the last season, he was arguably the best bowler for South Delhi Superstarz, and his 14 wickets in 10 matches at an economy rate of 7.83 helped them reach the final of the competition.

South Delhi Superstarz will next face Outer Delhi Warriors on August 15. Warriors have Priyansh Arya in their ranks, and given his history of banter with Digvesh Rathi in IPL, it can motivate LSG and South Delhi Superstarz spinner to unleash his best.
