Heinrich Klaasen etched his name in history books as the Sunrisers Hyderabad batter went berserk and scored a 37-ball century against a helpless looking Kolkata Knight Riders attack. This was the fastest century by an SRH batter in IPL as the batter broke several records.

Interestingly, this was Klaasen's second IPL century, with the first one coming against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 2023 season. With Klaasen reaching the three-figures mark, here is a list of Proteas batters with centuries in IPL.

In this list, AB De Villiers and Klaasen have more than one hundreds, with AB having 3 and Klaasen 2. ABD scored a solitary ton for Delhi Daredevils and two for RCB. Hashim Amla scored back-to-back tons for PBKS in the 2017 season.

De Kock slammed a brilliant hundred in the 2022 edition against KKR, and Miller went berserk against RCB in the 2013 edition.

En-route his magnificent hundred, the Sunrisers middle order batter broke several records as the team posted a mammoth 278/3 in their 20 overs. Klaasen smacked the fastest hundred by an SRH batter, surpassing the previous best by Travis Head.

This is also the joint third fastest hundred in the league, as Klaasen joins Yusuf Pathan with a 37-ball ton. Chris Gayle holds the record with a 30 ball ton and Vaibhav Suryavanshi with a 35-ball hundred.
