Harry Brook is widely recognised as one of the most talented young cricketers. He is known for his aggressive batting, and as England try to chase down a record target, the 26-year-old has unleashed his absolute best. He has smashed a hundred off just 91 balls and, it is his 10th in Test cricket in just 30 matches.

Harry Brook Puts England In Driver's Seat With Amazing Counter-Punch

The right-handed batter came out to bat with England in a spot of bother at 106 for three, but did not hesitate one bit to play his shots and got to his fifty in just 37 balls. Harry Brook attacked all the bowlers that came in his way and by the time he reached his century in the 61st over, he had 12 fours and two sixes to his name.

This 91-ball hundred is the third fastest by an English batter in Test cricket against India, and it has come at a time when his team needed it the most. Also, his counter-attack on Indian bowlers ensured that the pressure of the chase was transferred to the opposition in quick time and it allowed Joe Root to settle at the other end.

Harry Brook Makes India Pay After Siraj's Fielding Blunder

The aggressive intent from Brook even during the start of his innings almost cost him his wicket. He was batting on just 19 at that time, but Siraj crossed the fence after taking the catch and the English youngster has made visitors pay heavily for it. Brook eventually departed on 111 off 98 balls but by the time he was dismissed, England needed less than 80 runs. The knock has also helped Brook improve his average in the final innings of the Test which was just around 28 before this innings.

Thus, Brook has once again shown his special talent on the biggest stage and it has completely changed the complexion of the Oval Test. A win for England would mean that they take the trophy by a scoreline of 3-1, while India win will help visitors draw their second consecutive series on English shores.
