Harry Brook led England’s counterattacking charge against India on Day 3 of the second Test match at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Resuming his innings at 30* alongside Joe Root, Brook completed his half-century from 73 balls as the English score attained some stability following two early strikes in the day.
Through the course of his fighting knock, the attacking right-handed batter also soared past Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for an elite landmark, and inched closer towards his own national teammate Root.
