In Pakistan's crucial Super Fours defence against Bangladesh, a moment of inexplicable error from Mohammad Haris cost the team a run during a crucial rough patch of batting against the Bengal Tigers.

Haris does a schoolboy error!

In an unfortunate lapse of concentration, Pakistan's Mohammad Haris had a "brain fade" moment while batting with Salman Ali Agha. After Agha drove a ball into the deep, the batters easily ran two, thanks to a sloppy fielding effort. 

But the highlight told a different story. Replays showed that Haris, while turning for the second run, had forgotten to drag his bat into the crease on the first. The umpire signalled one short run, and the viral clip quickly made Haris the target of intense criticism and trolling online for his lack of game awareness.

Unsurprisingly, Pakistani fans on social media were quick to troll Haris and even the Pakistan team for what was labelled a "schoolboy error." Nevertheless, Pakistan won the match against Bangladesh as Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, alongside Saim Ayub, stepped up with the ball to successfully defend the total of 135. As Pakistan knocks Bangladesh out, they also secure the Asia Cup 2025 Final spot against India on September 28.
