As the team is facing Durham in the ongoing County clash, Mayank showcased his red-ball brilliance, smashing a brilliant half-century in 81 balls. Riding that momentum, he converted it into a commanding innings, notching up his 19th first-class century against Durham in 122 balls.

As he has something more to offer, he crossed the 150-run mark before getting out on an outstanding delivery of Shafiqullah Ghafari, scoring 175 runs in 195 balls with 20 boundaries and five over boundaries. Chasing the big total, Mayan’s outstanding innings was a big boost for them.

Yorkshire chases hard for redemption

While bowling first, the Yorkshire bowlers secured early bloods as Alex Lees and Emilio Gay walked away early. But the momentum shifted within David Bedingham and Will Rhodes’ crucial partnership. Ben Raine then turned the game on its head, smashing a brilliant century to propel Durham’s total. Thanks to their combined efforts, Durham finished strong with 346 runs.

Chasing the total, Yorkshire lost the first wicket early on as Finlay Bean walked away scoring 1 run. After that, Adam Lyth and Mayank Agarwal’s game-changing partnership flipped the script. While Mayank played a masterful knock, Lyth anchored the innings with a solid 69 off 127 balls. By stumps, Yorkshire stood at 314/5, just 32 runs shy of their target.
