England slipped to an eight-run defeat against Afghanistan in match eight of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Failing to chase down Afghanistan’s 325-run total, the Englishmen bowed out of the semifinals race of the tournament, considering Jos Buttler’s troops also lost to Australia a few days ago.
As one can expect, the outcome prompted a legion of social media users to make hilarious memes at the expense of the struggling English team.

Several cricket fans took to social media to express their reactions over England’s result. While some users congratulated the Afghanistan cricket team over its emphatic outcome, others took this opportunity to roast the struggling Englishmen, considering they also lost its three-match ODI series to hosts India earlier this month.
