Pitch Invasion In Pakistan Again; Security Guards Carry Man Out After ENG vs AFG Match

Afghanistan scripted a dramatic win against England in the Champions Trophy 2025. In a nail-biting finish, the Afghans held their nerve and prevailed to take home their second consecutive win against England in ICC events.

It was a joyous moment for the Afghanistan team after that. However, after the match an incident happened which the players and the administration would have anticipated. A man ran into the pitch and tried to hug the Afghan players. The security personnels however were quick to run in and carry the man out.

Second Pitch Invasion In The Tournament

This is not the first time a man has invaded the pitch during a match in this tournament. During the New Zealand vs Bangladesh match, a supporter of a militant group in Pakistan was seen running into the pitch and trying to grab Rachin Ravindra from behind. 

The security guards were seen to be proactive during that incident too. The administration also took severe steps against the man. As per the news, the man who have invaded the pitch during the Bangladesh versus New Zealand match has been arrested and banned from entering any cricketing venue in Pakistan.

Who Invaded The Pitch In Afghanistan vs England Match?

No update about the identity of the man who invaded the Afghanistan versus England match has yet been received. If this also turns out to be member of a militant group then the administrative body might have to take serious steps towards the business end of the tournament.
