On Day 3 of the second Test at Trent Bridge, Alzarri Joseph delivered a fiery, high-speed delivery that had a significant impact on Ollie Pope's bat.
In the third over of England's second innings, the right-arm pacer unleashed a thunderbolt at 143 kph, targeting Pope with precision.
The delivery was full and aimed at the off-stump. As Ollie Pope lunged forward to meet the ball, he encountered a remarkable piece of pace bowling.
The delivery struck the bottom of Pope's bat, causing a chunk of the bat's toe end to splinter off. The ball, which narrowly missed the off-stump, caused the broken piece to fall away, leaving Pope momentarily shaken.
