In the 4th match of the Women's Asia Cup at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana won the toss and elected to bat first against the host team, Sri Lanka.

Notably, Ishma Tanjim will make her debut for Bangladesh as an opener, bringing fresh energy to the team.

Chamari Athapaththu(Sri Lanka Women Captain): "We would have elected to bowl first so I am happy with losing the toss. We don't want to take too much pressure on our shoulders, we want to take one match at a time.

Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Women Captain): " We will bat first. The wicket looks good and the ball is coming onto the bat and want to put the runs on the board. This is an important tournament for us and we are taking it seriously and want to perform well in this tournament. I think it's a mix of seniors and youngsters in our side and we have got a debutant as well. Looking forward to the game today."
