India beat Australia by four wickets to qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025 final. The men in blue chased 265 runs in 49.3 overs and fans mocked the Aussies on social media for their mediocre performance.

The first semi-final of the Champions Trophy 2025 season between India and Australia was an entertaining affair. Batting first, the Aussies posted 264 runs on the board. Steve Smith and Alex Carey hit a half-century each. 

However, India responded with intent in the second inning. Despite openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma’s early dismissals, Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli helped the team recover with a 91-run partnership.

Fans troll Australia after India knocks them out of Champions Trophy

Virat Kohli got dismissed by Adam Zampa on 84 runs off 98 balls, but by then, he had already set up the game for India. Hardik Pandya added three crucial sixes to get the required run rate under control.

Moreover, KL Rahul hit the winning six to steer India to the final of the Champions Trophy 2025. 

For Australia, on the other hand, the tournament ends in a heartbreak. They were eliminated from the Champions Trophy despite putting up a good fight. Moreover, the results were disappointing for Pakistan as the final of the tournament will now shift to Dubai instead of Lahore.

Hence, fans used the moment to troll Australia and Pakistan on social media.

The second semi-final of the tournament will be played between New Zealand and South Africa. The winner of the contest will meet India in the final scheduled on March 9, 2025, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
