MS Dhoni became a legend when it comes to getting the best out of his bowlers with his unique game-reading skills from behind the stumps. Bowlers like Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja, and many others have often spoken about Dhoni's advice to help them during intense situations in a game.

In a recent incident, KL Rahul displayed his match-reading skills and keen observation. The current Indian keeper was elevating himself to MS Dhoni levels during the ongoing India vs Australia semi-final in the Champions Trophy 2025. 

Marnus Labuschagne walked out to bat at the fall of the second wicket and, along with Steve Smith, started the repair job for Australia. Labuschagne was growing stronger in the middle and could have taken the match away from India along with his idol.

KL Rahul's Advice Results In Jadeja Dismissing Labuschagne

At the start of the 23rd over, Labuschagne swept Jadeja for a brilliant boundary. After this, KL Rahul was seen advising Jadeja. He asked him - 'Ek aur thoda andar daal sakta hain' (one more coming into the batter). 

Jadeja bowled a good length delivery on the next delivery that drifted into the batter. Labuschagne tried to work that away to the onside but got beaten and was wrapped on the pads in front of the stumps. The India team went for an enormous appeal, and the umpire raised the finger, resulting in Marnus' departure.

The fact that KL observed the batter's weakness and gave very effective advice to Jadeja shows how closely he is involved in the game.
