It turned out to be a rather simple task for the visiting Australian side, who knocked over West Indies for just 143 in the fourth innings to complete a resounding victory by 133 runs in the second Test in Grenada. On the back of three-wicket hauls by Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon, Australia rolled over the home side after Steve Smith's valuable 71 runs in the third innings.

Here, we take a look at the highlights of Day 4 of the second Test match, as it panned out at National Cricket Stadium, St George's in Grenada on Sunday, July 6.

Australia Set West Indies A Target Of 277 After Adding 22 More Runs On Day 4

The play ended early on day three as Australia were seven wickets down for 221 with skipper Pat Cummins and wicketkeeper Alex Carey at the crease. However, on the morning of day four, Australia lost skipper Cummins on the second delivery of the game, as Shamar Joseph dismissed him. Australia were only able to add a total of 22 runs on the day, as they were cleaned up for 243 after facing 71.3 overs.

Steve Smith was the highest scorer in this innings with 71, while Cameron Green's 52 proved valuable, and Travis Head's 39 and Carey's 30 helped Australia get to a decent total. Shamar Joseph was a pick of the bowlers with four wickets to his name. This ensured that Australia set West Indies a challenging target of 277 runs to chase down with more than one and a half days of play left, as they already had a lead of 33 runs.

Lyon & Starc's 3-Wicket Hauls Ensure Australian Victory By 133 Runs

However, the chase started rather disappointingly for the Caribbean side, as they lost John Campbell in the very second over, courtesy of Josh Hazlewood, who trapped him in front of the stumps. Wickets kept tumbling one after the other, with Australia reducing West Indies to 33/4 as the Kangaroos' bowling attack ran riot in Grenada.

West Indian skipper Roston Chase offered some resistance with 34, but couldn't stay for long, as the home side lost wickets at regular intervals, with Mitchell Starc claiming three alongside Nathan Lyon, while Hazlewood registered two.

In the end, the Men in Maroon were knocked over for just 143 inside 35 overs, as Australia completed a dominant victory by 133 runs in the second Test to go 2-0 up in the series after previously winning the first Test in Barbados by 159 runs.
