The Oval Invincibles and the London Spirit crossed swords in the 26th match of The Women's Hundred 2024 at the Kennington Oval in London. The Oval Invincibles put in a more or less dominating show to win the game by eight wickets.

Lauren Winfield-Hill won the toss in this game and opted to field first. The bowlers of the Invincibles were all over the Spirit batting line-up as they made very light work of the top order. The Spirit lost wickets in a bunch and were soon struggling at 47/7 in 58 balls.

Deepti Sharma puts in a fighting effort for the London Spirit

It was at this stage that Eva Gray joined Deepti Sharma and the duo put in a fighting partnership for the team. The 8th wicket partnership worked 56 runs off 34 balls and helped the Spirit put on a fighting total on the scoreboard. Notably, this is the highest ever partnership for the eighth wicket in the history of The Women's Hundred.

Deepti Sharma played a significant role in taking the Spirit to 120/8 in their 100 balls, as she remained unbeaten on 46 off 30 deliveries. However, the total was not enough for the Spirit. The skipper of the Oval Invinvicibles, Lauren Winfield-Hill showed great intent from the beginning of her innings and played a glorious knock of 61 runs from 40 deliveries. Marizanne Kapp played a cameo of 30 off 18 deliveries alongside her skipper and ensured that the Invincibles went past the victory line losing only a couple of wickets with nine balls remaining in the game.
