It won't be an understatement to say that Kyle Mayers has been Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) best batter in the ongoing IPL.
Time and again, he has proven his worth and continued the onslaught in the ongoing match against the Punjab Kings in Mohali. The Southpaw was in severe mood to take down the bowling attack and took a special liking towards PBKS's best bowler - Arshdeep Singh.
The onslaught started in the 2nd over, when Arshdeep came into the attack. He bowled a wayward line and length and Mayers took full advantage of it. The over started with back-to-back boundaries on the first two deliveries. But what stood out was the shot over the bowlers' head.
On the fifth delivery, Arshdeep bowled a length ball and Mayers hit that with all his power. The West Indian batter smashed it over the bowlers' head and it took Arshdeep by surprise who somehow managed to duck under it. The ball was hit with so much power that the PBKS bowler had very little time to react.
Talking about the ongoing match, LSG started on a bright note, courtesy Kyle Mayers, who was eventually dismissed for a 24-ball 54. At the time of writing, LSG are 78 for 2.
