MS Dhoni and his last-ball heroics will go down as one of the most cherished stories in the history of the game! He is now 42-year-old and is still going strong with some breathtaking cameos in IPL 2024. Before the game against Punjab Kings, he did not lose his wicket even once and looked all set to finish with another unbeaten knock before an unfortunate run-out on the final delivery ended his streak.

It was a low full toss, outside off from Arshdeep Singh and Dhoni threw his bat at it. The ball though caught the outside edge of his blade and went towards Harshal Patel at short third man. The PBKS pacer misfielded and Dhoni decided to steal a couple. 

However, Harshal Patel recovered well and threw it towards batter's end and Dhoni fell to make his ground as Jitesh Sharma whipped off the bails in flash.

MSD scored 14 off 11 balls with one four and one six in it, and Chennai Super Kings ended up scoring 162 after a slow start to their innings on a pitch that is not easy to bat on. 

Also, if CSK do not qualify for the playoffs, this knock was his final knock in Chepauk if he does decide to retire after IPL 2024.
