On Tuesday, May 20, Chennai Super Kings locked horns against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. In the dead-rubber match, RR won the toss and asked CSK to bat first. The decision by Sanju Samson turned out to be gold as CSK lost two early wickets.

Notably, Chennai lost Devon Conway and Urvil Patel in the 2nd over of the match as Yudhvir Singh took two wickets in his first over of the game. However, the Conway dismissal caught fans' attention as Riyan Parag landed in controversy over the nature of his catch.

On the 4th ball of the 2nd over, Conway looked to clear the thirty-yard circle but found Riyan Parag at mid-off, who landed in hot waters for releasing it too clearly. The fans were not happy with the catch and accused the RR star of repeating a Herschelle Gibbs-like move. The fans quickly took to social media to slam Parag.

"Whats the point of the rules if umpires are not going to enforce them. No way, that Riyan Parag catch should have counted."

"@IPL is legal to drop the catch immediately. Riyan didn't even hold it for 0.2 seconds"

Meanwhile, Ashwin is also looking good as he is batting with a 200+ strike-rate and is batting on 12 (6).
